The Trinity concept

When treating multiple myeloma, there are several treatment challenges: Safety, efficacy and quality of life.

The Trinity is a concept that holistically brings in the three treatment challenges and supports the physician and patient to identify a suitable treatment. All multiple myeloma patients have a place in the Trinity, all with varying compositions of safety, efficacy and quality of life. This combination is unique for every patient and is driven by the physician’s treatment goals, the patient’s physical and psychological status and the patient’s treatment goals.

The Trinity concept can help the physician and patient to jointly conclude on the most suitable treatment option.

Below you can see a tool for the Trinity concept and two videos, where the Trinity concept and its practical use is discussed with multiple myeloma experts Prof. Paul Richardsson, Prof. Claudio Cerchione and Dr. Manfred Welslau.

In the tool below, you can look at different positions in the Trinity by moving the middle dot to various placements in the framework. If one treatment challenge is prioritized, the distance from the others will be farther.
